About me:

Hello!

My name is Shirin (and before we get too far in this relationship, my name is pronounced: Shir-een ).

I am an Iranian-American born in Boston, MA and my parents immigrated from Iran over 30 years ago. Although completely raised in America,  I love and have been deeply involved in my Iranian culture and background. I like to think that I have the best of both worlds.

Overtime, I realized there wasn’t really any place to go and share some of our stories, our culture and a sampling of our day to day.   I want to introduce you to this world. At times its just like any other culture, and at times it is very different.

And so, I introduce to you….

TheSaffronLife is a place for you to Experience, Engage and Embrace the Iranian-American culture. You will read about some of my experiences and those of others.  I will share stories, interesting resources, interviews, events etc!

Iranian-Americans are full of passion, values, and energy. Share it with us.
